The past two weeks I’ve been pretty busy just seeing patients and managing the office especially our accounts. A lot of my free time is spent chasing unpaid claims from insurance companies. Usain Bolt would have a field day with these companies! When I’m not doing that …who am I kidding? I’m always dealing with that if I’m not seeing patients.
Well, I finally carved some time to create new flyers that will be sent out in January and schedule some more presentations with local preschools. The schedule for December does not even rival the number of new patients in November and I know it’s because I didn’t send out flyers in December. I will NOT miss another month of flyers. Luckily we get a healthy number of walk-ins and referrals plus I’ve had several patients who need a lot of dental work so we are on target for our production goals. However, new patients are the lifeline of any new practice so we need better numbers in January. All in all though we are doing well and I’m pleased with our growth.
So tomorrow is my birthday and I think its going to be fun unlike my other ones which are usually oh so boring and just wack. You see when you are born near Christmas time you just get shafted. Don’t get me wrong my parents did throw me a very cool surprise party when I was 13 but I don’t remember anything too eventful in my childhood. Since I met my Husband they have definitely gotten better but he has been slipping a little bit.. haha.
Anyway, I’ve gotten some early birthday love from my assistant Linda, She got me a beautiful card (I’m a sucker for nice card) and some lovely room fragrance. It was very sweet and I was very appreciative. I got home and my Husband and boys got me a jacket to replace the torn up one I was currently wearing. I am so tired these days I didn’t care but it feels good to have a new one. My parents visited us this weekend and got me a sugary goodness chocolate cake and a wonderful card. It’s still early but it was the best present of all. The card had a quote from Ralph Waldo Emerson. I’ll frame it and put it in my office.
Until next time:)
